1. Rocketgenius notebook, made by Poppin.
  2. Tul Medium 0.7mm pens.  By far, my favorite pens at the moment ever. They always write smoothly in my notebooks and write amazingly on most other surfaces too.
  3. Lynktec Apex fine point powered stylus.  Not the greatest, but gets the job done in a pinch. If I had an iPad Pro, I would likely replace this with the Apple Pencil.
  4. 64GB iPad Air 2 with a KHOMO case.  The case is cheap, light, and gets the job done.
  5. Carl Zeiss glass wipes.  The best glasses wipes I have ever used. I use them to clean my glasses, phone, iPad, and MacBook. Because they’re made specifically for glass camera lenses, I can clean any glass surface with them flawlessly.
  6. Spare braided, 3 foot, 3.5mm cable.  It doesn’t take up much space, and I don’t use it terribly often, but comes in handy occasionally. No idea what brand it is, but this one never kinks and is super loose for traveling.
  7. RAVPower 16750mAh battery pack.  Will charge my phone from 0-100% a several times, has 2 USB ports, and also doubles as a flashlight.  This thing is a beast, and I can’t live without it.
  8. MicroUSB cable.  Charges the battery pack, and sometimes used to charge other people’s phones. No clue on the brand, but I have a million of them around here and you probably do to.
  9. Monster 3350mAh Power Card Turbo battery pack.  If I’m going somewhere without my bag, this fits perfectly in my pocket. Typically used for conference after-parties to make sure I always have a bit of battery, or to save someone else’s phone.
  10. iPad power block.
  11. iPhone power block.
  12. 3.5mm retractible cable for the headphones on #19.  I rarely need it, but sometimes helps if I need a bit more distance.
  13. MacBook Pro 85W charger.
  14. Gravity Forms stickers.  People like them, so I keep a few on me.
  15. 15″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display (2015 model).  My everyday machine. Tons of power and amazing battery life. Docked when at home.
  16. Apple EarPods.  Sometimes, the full sized headphones are too much, so I use these. They’re especially useful when I’m waiting on a plane or I need to hear something on my phone in public.
  17. Apple Lightning cable.  For charging everything.  If traveling, there’s usually at least 2 in my bag. Why not just 1? Because failure is not an option.
  18. Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter.  I rarely need it, but have seen scenarios where people need them at WordCamps, so I just keep one in there.
  19. Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones.  The best sub-$200 headphones you’re going to find.  Incredible sound quality, collapsible, and great sound isolation.
  20. 3 foot cable for the Audio Technica headphones.  The most commonly used cable; used daily.
  21. Claritin.  Allergies suck.
  22. Advil and Tylenol.  I keep both in the same bottle to save space.  Headaches suck, and being hung over in an airport with your head pounding is even worse.
  23. 64GB iPhone 6S Plus. 128GB iPhone 7 Plus.
  24. Sog Flash II pocket knife.  With assisted opening and razor sharp, it makes for an excellent utility and flicks open quickly for great self defense.
  25. Alaska Bear Classic money clip.  Saves a ton of space and holds my cards and cash firmly.  Protip: ALWAYS carry at least $20 in cash.  You would be surprised how often you’ll need it.

  • AmazonBasics AA batteries. Although everything I carry is rechargeable, AA batteries have a ton of use, and don’t take up much space.
  • Apple Watch Sport with leather band. It helps me keep up with things without the need to pull out my phone. Also used to track my health and sleep patterns.
  • Apple Watch charger. Fairly self-explanatory there.
  • AmazonBasics HDMI cable. Usually for plugging my MacBook into things such as hotel TVs.
  • Nintendo 3DS. For when I’m not feeling very productive.
  • Various medications that I take daily.
